Earlier today, a fire broke out in a Central-Alameda neighborhood home at 1210 E 35th St. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) arrived to find the structure filled with smoke, and promptly initiated efforts to control the fire. It is found that the fire started in one room before spreading to the attic, necessitating a quick and coordinated response, according to the LAFD news report.

During the firefighting operation, LAFD personnel found an adult male victim inside the room where the fire had started. Unfortunately, he was already deceased by the time he was found, and he was beyond any medical intervention to loudly cry over the incident. As per the LAFD's report, the LA County Medical Examiner-Coroner is tasked with investigating the cause of death and identity confirmation of the victim. In compliance with standard procedure after a fatality, the LAFD arson team will investigate the origin and cause of the fire.

The LAFD managed to extinguish the fire in 35 minutes, with the help of 30 firefighters. As detailed in this LAFD alert, the fire was successfully put out, and the site later secured. LAFD PIO Captain Cody Weireter was available on site for media interaction, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
