Early yesterday, a serene drive in Downtown Los Angeles took a grim turn when a car collided head-on with a semi-truck at 1210 S Long Beach Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported the incident taking place at 11:06 AM. Firefighters arrived swiftly, initiating an extraction operation to free the trapped driver.
Despite the emergency team's prompt response, and though valiantly they tried to save the entrapped driver, the patient was critically injured and tragically perished. The LAFD confirmed this in their subsequent report.
The investigation has been turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department. Inquiries related to the victim or the crash should be directed to the Los Angeles Police Department, Incident Number 1750, and the LA County Medical Examiner.
