
Yesterday evening, a tragic event happened on North Poinsettia Avenue in Compton, California. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) Homicide Detectives arrived following a report of a death resulting from a violent incident, according to an LASD statement.
The LASD Information Bureau reported a call for a "Battery Just Occurred" involving two male Hispanic adults. Deputies found one man unresponsive, apparently having suffered injuries during an altercation with the other man.
Immediate medical aid was administered by deputies until Compton City Fire personnel arrived. Despite their effort, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The detectives working this case are piecing together the facts, with the man allegedly responsible for inflicting the injuries temporarily detained for further investigation. The authorities have yet shared additional information about him.
