
On a recent case of grand theft involving two Victorville women, the Apple Valley Police Department made swift strides toward justice thanks to the efforts of their deputies.
A press release from the Apple Valley Police Department revealed that on October 22, the deputies responded to a theft report at Cigmart, on 21620 Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley. Investigations led them to conclude that two women had walked into the store and walked out with several boxes of jewelry, without paying.
Deputy A. Montanez, to and Deputy T. Loup, maintain a dedication to ensuring justice and followed-up professionally, resulting in the identification of the suspects: Rocksan Nunez, a 27-year-old woman, and Alexis Renita Allen, a 30-year-old woman, both from Victorville.
Through coordinated efforts between different divisions of the Apple Valley Police Department, Nunez was located at a residence in Hesperia on October 25. Nunez, found in possession of some of the stolen property, was arrested for theft and an outstanding warrant, and taken to the High Desert Detention Center. She is currently being held on a $30,000 bail.
On the same day, Deputy Loup, with assistance from detectives, made contact with Alexis Renita Allen at her residence in Victorville. Stolen property was recovered from her residence, and Allen was arrested and taken to the High Desert Detention Center, from to where she has since posted bail, as reported by the Apple Valley Police Department.
The Victorville District Attorney's Office took over the case and successfully filed charges against both suspects on October 27. The charges include PC 459, Commercial Burglary, and PC 487(a), Grand Theft.
