
A 30-year-old Victorville man named Jaykhuan Bryant was arrested on Tuesday, October 24, for false imprisonment. Reports indicate he forced another party attendee to leave with him without their consent. The incident set off when the coerced individual generated a disturbance which led to an intervention, according to the Apple Valley Police Department.
Upon responding to disturbance call from the 20200 block of Serrano Road in Apple Valley, Police discovered two people interacting within a parked car. The subsequent investigation revealed the individuals had attended to split a party together. Bryant allegedly compelled his companion to leave that party and drove them against their will to Apple Valley, as per the press release.
The victim was able to draw attention from authorities by creating a disturbance, using the car's horn and their voice leading to Bryant's arrest. The perpetrator is now held at the High Desert Detention Center with a bail set at $30,000.
