On November 6, law enforcement authorities in the town of Apple Valley, California, were called to a residential premise. According to the Apple Valley Police Department, Miguel Rodriguez, a 37-year-old man, accidentally shot himself in the leg after displaying a firearm during an argument with a 25-year-old woman. Rodriguez was later arrested on drug and gun charges.
Upon reaching the scene, Deputy E. Madrigal found illegal narcotics in Rodriguez's car located nearby. After being treated for his self-inflicted wound, Rodriguez was arrested for multiple charges, including possession of a firearm and controlled substances, being a felon with a firearm, and brandishing a firearm.
