A series of armed robberies struck Rowlett last week, as the searches are ongoing for the culprits. The Rowlett Police Department is looking for two suspects tied to two incidents in parking lots, occurring on November 7th and 9th.
According to WFAA, both crimes shared strikingly similar details from victims’ accounts. The attacker approached while victims were packing their groceries, displaying a black pistol and demanding wallets. After their demands were fulfilled, they fled in stolen Hyundais.
Fox 4 News revealed an additional twist—the suspects left messages taunting enforcement agencies in one of the stolen vehicles and led a high-speed police chase, eventually slipping away from the law. They were spotted on surveillance cameras in a Walmart store shopping before committing the first robbery.
The Rowlett Police Department is urging community involvement in the ongoing investigation. They need any information that could help identify the suspects or trace their current location. Anyone with possible leads, whether in Rowlett or DeSoto—where one of the stolen cars was from—is urged to contact Detective J. Freeman at 972-412-6250.
