Yesterday, Riverside County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of two suspects related to an assault with a deadly weapon case dating back to April 28, 2023. The Perris City Special Enforcement Team (SET) spearheaded the investigation of an assault at Frank Eaton Park that involved three victims and a firearm per the Sheriff's Office.
The detailed investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant for a Ranch Street residence in Perris. With the aid of the Riverside Sheriff's Gang Task Force Region 6, law enforcement executed the warrant on November 9th. Discoveries included two firearms, hard plate body armor, narcotics, and a whopping $440,000 in cash, the official report detailed.
Authorities have identified suspect as Donnessa Sampson, 40, and Deytwan Sampson, 47, both Perris residents. They were subsequently booked at Cois Byrd Detention Facility, where they face charges for child endangerment, possession of Ecstasy for sale, among other felony drug and weapons charges, furthering the diligent effort by law enforcement.
