Jose M. Serrano Ruiz, the Long Beach man who mysteriously disappeared returned home unscathed. Long Beach Police Department confirmed the uplifting turn of events with a tweet yesterday, stating that Ruiz "returned to his residence on his own, safe and unharmed."
The puzzling case of Ruiz, who was last observed in the vicinity of his home on the 80th block of West Pleasant Street at about 5:30 p.m. on November 19, initially set off alarm due to his at-risk status; the urgency of his search was further amplified after the LBPD revealed, on Twitter, detailing his medical conditions.
Though his normal attire, including a white Nike baseball hat, black jacket, blue jeans, and sandals, did little to offer clues as to why he disappeared, one might contend that the ordinary nature of his dress played no small part in the intrigue.
