On October 20, Brenden Jones, a 20-year-old resident of Hemet, attempted a bank robbery in Moreno Valley, Riverside County. Fleeing unsuccessfully, Jones was later apprehended, as reported by the Riverside County Sheriff. Interestingly, a similarly attempted robbery occurred in Riverside an hour earlier.
The specific reasons behind Jones's actions are still under investigation. Following his arrest on October 31, he was placed in the Robert Presley Detention Center for the attempted bank robbery. His bail is currently set at $100,000 as stated by the Riverside County Sheriff.
