The Morongo Basin Sheriff's Department successfully apprehended a Beaumont resident, Arturo Antonio Navarro, in an investigation related to a burglary at a Yucca Valley Home Depot store on September 18. Navarro allegedly stole approximately $1,100 worth of merchandise, as reported by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
In a collaborative effort, Detective Ables, along with other agencies, identified the 38-year-old male as the suspect. A search warrant issued for Navarro's residence led to the discovery of stolen property and four firearms yesterday. Navarro was then arrested on charges of commercial burglary and felon in possession of a firearm and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with a $50,000 bail.
