Terror on the tarmac struck the Southwest Freeway yesterday as a 20-year-old man on a blue Kawasaki motorcycle met his untimely demise in a brutal multi-vehicle pile-up, authorities have confirmed. In a high-speed ballet of destruction, the youthful motorcyclist, whose name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification, collided with the rear of a black Honda Civic before ricocheting off a gray Jeep Cherokee and ultimately being hurled against a white Toyota Corolla; the violent series of impacts spells the end for the young rider.
Horrified commuters witnessed the chaos unfold in the U.S. Highway 59 during what one might have otherwise called an ordinary Monday morning rush; the Kawasaki was said to be splitting the difference between two right lanes when disaster struck the City of Houston News reported.
The aftermath of the crash saw Houston police's Vehicular Crimes Division's Sergeant L. Ross and Officer A. Hart scrambling to piece together the events that led to the young man's death, while two individuals from the Civic were transported to attend to back pain—witnesses not only to the accident but now bearers of its physical toll. Meanwhile, the thoroughfare transformed itself into a site of sorrow and flashing red and blue lights as paramedics made their doomed dash to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where the rider was pronounced deceased.
