Earlier today, a fire broke out in a two-story apartment above a parking area in the West Adams district of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported that firefighters acted aggressively to douse the flames on the building's second floor, located at 2901 S. Palm Grove Avenue. Rapid response from 34 firefighters saw the fire extinguished entirely within 22 minutes.
Regrettably, a 60-year-old woman was found inside in critical condition. She has been swiftly transported to a local hospital while her status remains unknown. The LAFD Arson Division has been drafted in to investigate the origins of the fire in line with standard procedures regarding severe injuries.
The team is now working diligently to establish the cause of the fire.
