Earlier today, a fire broke out in a four-story retail building located at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) quickly arrived at the scene, dealing with a minor fire in the wall of a ground-floor shoe store. Despite the fire being successfully contained, there was evidence of heat and smoke damage possibly extending up to the fourth floor, according to the article by the Fire Department.
The LAFD informs that the Ovation Hollywood shopping center was not evacuated and no injuries were reported. Less than an hour after the fire commenced, the LAFD had the situation under control. Swiftly handling the incident allowed all businesses within the center to reopen and return to their normal operations.
