The fire, described as starting from an outside source and latching onto the structure housing the daycare, sent plumes of smoke billowing into the evening sky. "One-story building, operating as a daycare, with smoke showing. Offensive mode," according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The brave responders from Fire Station 68, along with supporting battalions and personnel, tackled the flames head-on with remarkable efficiency.
