
The Los Angeles Fire Department extinguished a blazing inferno at a Sylmar mobile home park yesterday evening. Officials report that the call came in at 7:31 PM, with fire crews responding to 12301 N San Fernando Rd, where one mobile home was "well involved with fire," according to a statement obtained by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters from multiple stations, including Engines 91 and 98, converged on 'Fourth Street' in the Park Estates Mobile Home Park, home to a community of 109 units. No residents were reported injured in the incident; the fire was kept at bay, confined to the rear portion of a single dwelling in a heroic 16-minute effort. Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department stated, "32 Firefighters took just 16 minutes to access, confine and extinguish fire."
The fire's cause is currently under investigation as local authorities sift through the aftermath, searching for clues within the charred remnants. In fortunate news, no injuries were reported during the event.
The incident, which drew a sizable first-responder presence, including Battalion Chief 12 and stations equipped with Task Forces 75 and 98, was promptly controlled. The Los Angeles Fire Department's alert highlighted the concerted effort by stating, "PRELIM: One mobile home on 'Fourth Street' in the Park Estates Mobile Home Park, well involved with fire."
