Flames ravaged a residence in Northridge Saturday afternoon in a blaze that took nearly 50 firefighters to subdue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The one-story home, located at 17639 W Osborne St, was reported engulfed in fire at approximately 2:11 p.m., with first respondents switching to an offensive mode to combat the inferno, as reported by the LAFD.
In a demonstration of their rapid response and skill, the firefighting teams, consisting of 45 members, managed to knock down the aggressive fire by 2:31 p.m. – a mere 20 minutes after they arrived on the scene. The structure, which featured both one-story and two-story sections, was situated at the bottom of a cul-de-sac, posing a potential challenge for the firefighters. Nonetheless, they were able to access the burning living space, and work their way up to subdue the fire in the attic, as per the LAFD Update.
Impressively, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
