Last Sunday, the body of 35-year-old Heather Louise Schwab was found in a residence on Pearson Avenue in McKinney, Texas, leading to the arrest of 41-year-old Chad Christopher Stevens, who is now facing multiple criminal charges, including evidence tampering according to The Dallas Morning News.
The McKinney Police Department was first alerted to the shocking discovery by a tip-off, rapidly secured a search warrant, and proceeded to conduct an investigation as reported by NBC DFW News. Neighbors watched a SWAT team descend on the Pearson Avenue home, ordering Stevens out before conducting a thorough search of the property, leading to the discovery of Schwab's body as per by FOX 4 News.
The community was, understandably, taken aback by this revelation. A neighbor, Carolina Murillo, expressed her shock and fear to NBC DFW News, describing the scene of police helicopters and a SWAT team demanding Stevens walk out of his home with his hands raised. This incident shattered the neighborhood's tranquility, making them reconsider their familiarity with a man who now stands accused of such a grim crime.
