Firefighters from LAFD and the Los Angeles County Fire Department initiated a swift response for the safeguarding of properties and extinguishing the fire's growth, according to the LAFD ALERT.
Located at 8635 W Metz Pl, the fire reportedly consumed roughly half an acre of vegetation, according to the LAFD's report.
As the situation progresses, multiple resources are being deployed, inclusive of flight units and ground crews to halt the fire and to secure the area's residents safely.
