An observant citizen contributed to the capture of three people suspected of a burglary crime. The event unfolded on October 27, when the citizen witnessed a man jumping over a residential wall carrying a bag in the 3900 block of Kiara Court. The man swiftly entered a waiting vehicle which drove away, according to the Fairfield Police Department's Facebook post.
Officers used the FLOCK camera system to locate the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop on Nelson Road. They discovered items in the vehicle that came from the burgled residence and additional suspected stolen property. The vehicle's three occupants, Maurice Barrow, Albert Tisdale and Otis Patterson, were consequently arrested and detained at County Jail on charges ranging from burglary and conspiracy, to the receipt of stolen property and possession of burglary tools.
Law enforcement's use to quickly identify of the FLOCK camera system doesn't diminish the ongoing importance of community vigilance. While technology provides an additional layer of security, only a watchful community is able to respond in real time to potentially prevent crimes before they occur.
