
On Saturday, a retail store on Gateway Boulevard in Fairfield was the target of a daytime grab-and-run theft. A male and female culprit managed to flee the scene with several stolen items, escaping in a gold van heading west onto I-80.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, identifications named the suspects as 23-year-old Jade Harris and 30-year-old Dequan Taylor, both from Oakland.
Officer Tuss of the Fairfield Police Department successfully located the getaway vehicle, making a traffic stop on I-80 near the scales.
This intervention led to the recovery of stolen undergarments worth thousands of dollars. Suspects Jade Harris and Dequan Taylor have been apprehended and charged for their crimes.
