On November 12, a deadly event transpired within Simi Valley's tranquil town of Rancho Mirage, where a domestic dispute ended as a fatal murder-suicide. Preliminary details named Kathryn Ashcroft, 55, and suspect Carl Ashcroft, 61, as the involved parties, as released by The Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival at the scene, the deputies discovered both Kathryn and Carl with gunshot wounds. Carl died on the premises while Kathryn, despite being rushed to a hospital, succumbed to her injuries.
While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have confirmed there is no threat posed to the public.
