
Yesterday, a tense situation emerged at the In-Shape Gym in Victorville. Jesse Hernandez-Valle, a Hesperia resident aged 25, was allegedly threatening gym goers. Deputies from the Victorville Police Department reached the location and found Hernandez-Valle outside the gym. A lethal force encounter resulted in injuries for both a deputy and Hernandez-Valle, who were subsequently taken to the hospital. According to employees at the gym, they notified law enforcement after Hernandez-Valle was making threats inside the gym. Upon their approach, Hernandez-Valle advanced on a deputy with a knife, managing to stab the deputy in the arm. A follow-up report states that a lethal force encounter ensued, leading to Hernandez-Valle sustaining a gunshot wound. Hernandez-Valle then attempted to escape on foot, traversing the parking lot before being caught by deputies.
