According to the Sheriff's Office statement, the deputy was investigating a reported fentanyl sighting, but inadvertently came into contact with the substance. After showing symptoms of acute fentanyl exposure like lightheadedness, dizziness, and tunnel vision, the deputy was treated with Narcan by another deputy. Medical personnel later confirmed the treatment was successful, and further interventions were unnecessary.
During such instances, the successful application of Narcan is a beacon of hope.
