Early yesterday, a significant car accident in the 18000 block of West Roscoe Boulevard Northridge, near the Lindley Avenue intersection, Los Angeles resulted in two fatalities and three serious injuries. The accident, a collision between two cars, occurred near Roscoe Boulevard and Lindley Avenue about 1:20 a.m., warranting an investigative closure of the vicinity until approximately 6:30 a.m., according to KTLA.
Wreckage from the accident included a sheared fire hydrant, contributing to water scattering high into the air, as per CBS Los Angeles. One vehicle ended dangerously lodged in a tree near a home. The identities of the fatalities, as well as the cause of accident, still remain unknown.
Los Angeles firefighters attended the scene, working amid high water spray to rescue three individuals stuck to free within the white vehicle. The three persons were then transferred to a nearby hospital in serious condition, as reported by ABC7.
The onus of the investigation lies with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
