On November 6, a fatal shooting occurred in Santa Clarita, California. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) is currently investigating the incident that took place near the intersection of Sand Canyon Road and Placerita Canyon Road. They are particularly interested in whether the incident is gang-related. The male juvenile victim was found dead at the scene at approximately 6:30 a.m. The LASD released a statement and Hoodline reported on the event.
After receiving a call reporting a "person down," Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station deputies immediately responded. Arriving at the scene, they found the victim with a gunshot wound. Despite rapid intervention from Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel, the victim was pronounced dead on arrival. The deceased individual was, in fact, a minor, causing investigators to possibly count in gang involvement in their investigation, as per the LASD.
The investigation is ongoing, and specific details about the victim and the case have not been shared. The only known fact currently is that the victim's body was found off the road, hidden by brush. This detail was shared by Hoodline and the LASD press release. The victim's identity has not yet been released, and no possible suspects have been publicly announced. Law enforcement is currently seeking any information from the public that may assist in resolving the case.
