Yesterday, a significant fire erupted in a commercial building at 3719 S Western Avenue, in Los Angeles' Exposition Park neighborhood. The building, not unfamiliar with such occurrences, was engulfed by flames shooting through the roof, according to The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) alert at 10:03 p.m.
As per the LAFD's update, a task force of 84 firefighters teamed up to tackle the fire. Demonstrating exemplary effectiveness, they managed to not only locate the fire but also confine and extinguish it within a remarkable 20 minutes by 10:23 p.m. Not a single firefighter was injured during this task.
The structure, an unoccupied, single-story commercial hub of approximately 940 square feet, had a history with fires.
Despite no casualties, investigators have charged into uncovering the source of the fire. The investigation is still ongoing.
