On November 2nd and 8th, 2023, Fontana deputies made four arrests connected to illegal cannabis sales, happening at a Bloomington, California establishment identified as Bloomington Meds. The development stems from a broader, statewide issue of illegal cannabis operations. According to the Fontana Sheriff's Department, the arrests were for cannabis possession intended for sale and trespassing.
After a search warrant was obtained on November 2nd, 2023, narcotics and cash were discovered in the premises. The building, nestled within a tire shop, had charges levied against it for illegal possession and sales of cannabis. Following these illegal findings, the County of San Bernardino red tagged the building, sealing it off due to its connection to the illicit activities.
Despite initial control measures, on November 8th, 2023, deputies noted activity within the shuttered property, prompting another business inspection. Upon re-entry, they quickly to detect recognized the continued operations of the illegal cannabis sale within and subsequently detained those involved. Deputies warrant a second search, which led to the seizure of an array of cannabis products, narcotic paraphernalia, and cash sparking additional arrests of the involved, namely Miguel Melgoza, Aris Mehrparvar, Joslyn Givens, and Xandriah Jefferson.
