Former Pilot Point Independent School District athletic trainer Javier Errisuriz, 35, is under investigation following allegations of misconduct, resulting in his dismissal and arrest. Errisuriz, employed by the school district from July to November 2023, faces charges of child grooming involving a 17-year-old student, detailed by Fox4News.
The Pilot Point ISD Police Department received reports of the allegations in late October related to incidents from September 2023. Immediate action led to placing Errisuriz on administrative leave, and a joint investigation by the department and Pilot Point Police Department resulted in his firing on November 2, as WFAA reported.
Subsequent to his termination, the investigation led to his arrest on November 10, according to the Denton Record-Chronicle. He is currently held in the Denton County jail and has been charged with a third-degree felony under TX Penal Code 15.032 Child Grooming, as affirmed by WFAA.
Prior to join Pilot Point ISD, Errisuriz had previous tenures at Canyon Lake High School in Comal ISD and Keller High School at Keller ISD, as stated by Fox4News.
