
Fort Worth city has approved a significant contract of $1.78 million with Arts Fort Worth in a bid to bolster local arts, according to the City of Fort Worth news. The investment will cater to wide-ranging activities in arts education, cultural programs, and public art projects.
In a public statement, the city reveals this to be the 22nd year of its partnership with Arts Fort Worth. Out of the total grant, $1,031,075 is set aside for arts grants. These funds will cover the operation costs of arts organizations and help roll out a range of programs targeted at advancing arts education and cultural involvement, per the City of Fort Worth news.
Facility funding stands at $250,000. Two major beneficiaries, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and the Rose Marine Theater, are provided utility coverage accompanied by an annual subsidy of $200,000 and $50,000, respectively to properly manage and keep the venues open to the public.
The Fort Worth Public Art Program is being administered by Arts Fort Worth using a dedicated budget of $505,295. This will facilitate the supervision of 41 new and ongoing public art projects across the city.
In an attempt to further fortify the art scene, the Fort Worth Art Commission endorsed the Public Art Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Worth Plan last August.
