The exhaustive search for Rosa Coronado, a 73-year-old Lancaster woman who went missing early Sunday morning, has come to a hopeful conclusion as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department announced she has been found. The LASD extended their gratitude to the community and various departments for their relentless pursuit of locating Coronado, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Facebook page.
Coronado was last spotted on the 44200 block of Elm Avenue in Lancaster at about 5:30 a.m. on November 26, 2023. Standing at 5 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds, she has brown hair and eyes and was last seen adorning a gray coat, black jacket, and black "Nike" shoes. It was a collective effort that included the public, the media, the Aero Bureau, and deputy personnel that carried the weight of this search on their collective shoulders.
The urgency of the search was magnified by the fact that Coronado suffers from diabetes and is in need of medication, adding to the family's deep concern for her well-being. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500.
