A delivery man's bad package delivery turned potentially deadly after he allegedly plunged a knife into an Amazon employee at their Mission Viejo facility, local authorities say. The accused stabber, identified as 29-year-old Andrew Ariel Alfaro, yesterday after a harrowing morning that left the 48-year-old victim fighting for her life according to the news from The Orange County Sheriff's Department.
In a drama that unfolded quicker than you can click 'Add to Cart', officers were called to the 25000 block of Jeronimo Road at 9:23 a.m. on the previous day after reports of a gruesome attack hit the dispatcher's desk. It was a scene ripped right out of a crime thriller, with lifesaving measures being administered to the female Amazon employee as deputies raced to quickly locate and restrain the suspected assailant in the parking lot as per the Sheriff’s Department.
The cops didn't just show up to put on a show; their swift action and the rapid response from the Orange County Fire Authority ensured the grievously wounded woman received the urgent medical care she desperately needed. Transported to a nearby hospital, she remains in critical condition with multiple stab wounds cast across her upper torso.
Alfaro, whose role as a delivery associate for an Amazon delivery service partner seemingly to perfectly overlap with his alleged violent act, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder—a charge that will assuredly disrupt more than just his delivery schedule. "The relationship between Alfaro and the victim and the reason he attacked her is still under investigation," the department conveyed in their statement, shedding some light on the murky details surrounding this shocking crime.
Investigators are digging deep, trying to understand the motive behind Alfaro's alleged decision to turn a place of commerce into a crime scene. Information can be shared with the Orange County Sheriff's Department or anonymously through Orange County Crime Stoppers.
