A California woman who disappeared in Houston, sparking a citywide search, has been found in good health. Danielle "Dani" Becker Friedland has been reported missing since last Wednesday, the same day she checked out of a mental health facility. After an anxious week for family and friends, police found her early Wednesday following a tip about her credit card usage, as per Houston Chronicle reports.
Friedland, 36, was due to fly back to California ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday but failed to board her flight at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. According to Hoodline, Jordan Friedland, her husband, reported that she left the Menninger Clinic, where she was receiving treatment, and was supposedly taking an Uber to the airport before she went missing.
When police received the hint that her credit card might have been used, they promptly responded and were able to locate Friedland. The Houston Police Department says she was taken to the hospital without life-threatening injuries. Friedland's family has issued a statement confirming her safe recovery and expressing their appreciation for the community resources and law enforcement efforts that led to her being found.
