Earlier today, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) relayed a distressing report of a structure fire at a single-family home. The location, 6417 S Avalon Boulevard in the Florence neighborhood, was encountered wholly consumed by fire with initial, unverified reports indicating possible trapped occupants as reported by LAFD ALERT. Firefighters commenced with an offensive attack to mitigate the infested dwelling.
In a swift 18-minute operation, 40 firefighters were able to completely snuff out the flames, leaving adjacent structures unscathed.
The update from LAFD ALERT additionally confirmed that a thorough search found no individuals inside, quelling the initial fears of potential entrapment. No injuries were reported.
