Flames ravaged a residence in El Sereno, and firefighters tamed the blaze in under 20 minutes on Tuesday night, officials said. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported an "outside fire extending into the rear of a one-story home" at 3349 N Linda Vista Te according to a press release on the LAFD's website. The incident, logged at 8:32 p.m., sparked a rapid response from the city's bravest.
The LAFD's force of 32 firefighters laid siege to the fire; it took just 17 minutes for the team to access, confine, and fully extinguish the outside rubbish, debris, and vegetation fire that had latched onto the back of a 1,110-square-foot two-story descending hillside home according to the follow-up LAFD statement. No residents or firefighters were reported injured in the conflagration that disturbed the quiet of the evening.
The LAFD has confirmed, "Fire cause under investigation."
