
On Wednesday, Dino Rojas-Moreno was arrested in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Tatum Goodwin in Laguna Beach, California. The news of the arrest has brought some comfort to the community, which was deeply shaken by the murder according to the City of Laguna Beach News.
The incident began with the discovery of an unidentified woman's body by a construction worker on November 12. The deceased was later identified as Tatum Goodwin, a well-liked resident of San Clemente who was also an employee at a local venue, Carmelita's as reported by Hoodline.
The investigation into Goodwin's death was swiftly carried out by the Laguna Beach Police Detectives, who also worked with the Newport Beach and Anaheim Police Departments. Their combined efforts led to the identification and arrest of Rojas-Moreno. His bail was set at $1,000,000. The LBPD Chief, Jeff Calvert, praised the diligent work of the investigators and recognized the closure that the arrest provides for Goodwin's family as per City of Laguna Beach News.
In response to community concerns, the Laguna Beach Police Department has confirmed the incident is isolated and reportedly poses no additional threat to public safety.
