Police in Lake Worth, Texas, have seized two suspects thought to be linked to a series of planned thefts in the Metroplex area. Christopher Bivens, 33, and Terrence Parish, 37, were apprehended after a brief car and foot chase on Wednesday. Officers managed to capture the pair according to Fox 4 News.

Almost 250 stolen items worth $3,284 were found in the suspects' vehicle during their arrest. Primarily women's beauty products, these were stolen from local drug stores. Investigators believe Bivens and Parish are involved in more than 30 organized retail thefts since Halloween, from east Dallas to west Fort Worth. This number could potentially increase as the investigation progresses per Fox 4 News.

Lake Worth Police Chief Jay Manoushagian explained that the suspects method of operation would usually check out the beauty products in the stores before swiftly collecting them into handbags or pockets. Considering that most store employees were generally not allowed to engage, these thefts largely targeted major chains like Walgreens and CVS as reported by Fox 4 News. Because of the reach and organization of these crimes, Manoushagian suspects that the duo of Bivens and Parish could be part of a larger underworld network.

The Lake Worth Police Department urges the public to share any information that could help with further investigations as they continue their efforts to break down criminal networks and hold those involved accountable. Those with information about similar cases or the suspects are advised to contact detectives via [email protected] or by dialing 817-237-1224 as stated by Audacy.
