Earlier today, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) appealed for public assistance in locating a suspect who is connected to the fatal assault of a 59-year-old male in Koreatown, which occurred on October 30, 2023, at the junction of Wilshire Boulevard and Kingsley Drive. The suspect remains at large, and any information aiding in his arrest would be critical in the pursuit of justice for the victim and his kin. The investigation situates itself within the confines of Los Angeles, while its implications potentially ripple into wider spheres according to the LAPD news release.
The LAPD's preliminary findings suggest that the suspect assaulted the victim until bystanders stepped in, then fled the scene on foot. The police are seeking witness help in identifying a 30- to 40-year-old male, possibly Black or Hispanic, 6'1'', weighing around 160 pounds, with tattoos on the chest, left shoulder, and near the right eye. Tragic as it was, the victim couldn't survive injuries, passing on November 6. His identity is still undisclosed until his relatives have been informed.
LAPD continues to solicit help in finding the suspect. Informants can contact LAPD Detective Hsiao at 213-382-9470, or during off-hours, the police hotline at 310-726-7700 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
