Adrian Muñoz, a Los Angeles County Medical Examiner investigator, is facing charges of stealing possessions from the deceased. The charges were filed yesterday, citing thefts occurring during his employment, according to the District Attorney.
Muñoz was first suspected after a response to a warehouse worker's death earlier this year, on January 6, in South Los Angeles. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Muñoz stealing a gold crucifix necklace from the deceased. Searches of his workspace later unveiled antique coins and a receipt belonging to a man who died in November 2022, as detailed by the District Attorney's Office.
