The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) tackled a serious structure fire earlier today in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood. The fire, reported at 11:44 AM, concentrated at a detached garage on 7524 S Hoover St. The team, operating in offensive mode, aimed to prevent the blaze from reaching a neighboring single-family home and surrounding buildings, as per LAFD ALERT.
An updated statement from the LAFD located the fire at 713 W 77th St. Around 30 firefighters to swiftly extinguish the fire in 25 minutes, and there were no injuries among the crew. Thanks to the fast response and efficiency, the fire was confined to the garage, effectively stopping potential expansion to the main dwelling and buildings located off the alleyway.
