Yesterday evening, a brush fire started in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) immediately responded and reported the fire at 100 N Temescal Canyon Rd, affecting around a quarter-acre of light and medium brush, as per the LAFD ALERT. While it posed potential risks to nearby structures within the Pacific Palisades Bowl Mobile Estates, no evacuation orders were deemed necessary.
The LAFD were able to contain the fire, with the lack of wind aiding their efforts. With topography being the primary controlling factor of the fire's behavior, they quickly halted all forward progress. Following this action, no structures were threatened, nor were there any reportable injuries, according to the LAFD update.
Following the primary containment, firefighters shifted their efforts toward encircling the flames for full extinguishment. Once the fire was controlled, mop-up operations began to extinguish any remaining hot spots, ensuring the fire wouldn't re-ignite.
