A Lubbock area Game Warden initially pulled over a pickup truck for broken taillights. When he asked the driver and passenger to exit the vehicle, the driver 'confidently' requested to pull his burrito and drink out with him while he waits. It turns out that the burrito was what it seemed, but the big gulp cup that he was holding was, in fact, filled with methamphetamine. The driver was apprehended, according to a snarky post by the official Facebook profile for the Texas Game Wardens.
At first point of contact, the officer noted the broken tail light, in addition to other transportation violations. According to the Star-Telegram, the driver, while waiting with a deputy, nonchalantly fetched a burrito and a large drink from his truck.
The driver willingly allowed the game to wardens to search his truck, stating that he had no drugs or illegal items. However, when asked to surrender his drink, he became reluctant. In the drink, the game warden found an orange bag which held a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed over 5 grams, reported the Texas Game Wardens' Facebook post.
The prompt actions of and acute observation by the game warden and the deputy led to the driver's arrest, who ultimately admitted that the substance was methamphetamine, according to the Star-Telegram.
