These selfless souls converged upon various locales throughout the city, engaging in good deeds that ranged from crafting holiday cheer to stuffing Thanksgiving baskets for those in need.
Among the hives of activity, 65+ volunteers banded together at SAVES to assemble 500 Thanksgiving baskets. These care packages were filled with more than just festive fare, they held the very essence of Thanksgiving spirit, ready to be distributed to seniors and families early this week. With each basket, a promise of a better holiday was sealed and delivered.
Meanwhile, the Palmdale City Library played host to a squad of 15+ volunteers, armed with nothing but scissors, paper, and a drive to spark joy. Their mission? To cut and prepare holiday crafts that would bring a twinkle to the eye of many a library visitor in the festive season yet to come.
Not resting on their laurels, the Aero Building was home base for an impressive 45+ volunteers who, tasked with prepping for the upcoming Jolly Holiday event, filled 2,500 goodie bags. These bags are set to be gifts from the heavens for local kids attending the expected-to-be-merry affair on December 2 at the Palmdale Amphitheater, the Facebook post teemed with anticipation. A separate cadre of 35+ volunteers at the same venue channeled their inner elves, fashioning 200 holiday crafts for SAVES seniors.
