On Tuesday, the Palmdale Sheriff's Department reintroduced their Sheriff's Online Report Tracking System (SORTS), enabling residents to quickly report lost property under $950 value.
According to the LASD Palmdale Station on Twitter, across the United States, law enforcement agencies have increasingly adopted online reporting systems to streamline their operations and offer the public more accessible reporting services.
Proponents contend these systems improve overall efficiency by enabling officers to devote more attention to high-priority tasks while offering citizens an alternative, less time-consuming method to report minor incidents.
