Pomona streets were marred by a brutal act of violence on Tuesday, with one man left dead and another in handcuffs. Edmundo Salvador Guerrero, 36, is now facing murder charges after Pomona Police patrol officers swooped in to arrest him for the grisly stabbing death of 27-year-old Brian Terraza, as revealed in a news report.

The victim was found in an alley at 700 Block of Hawthorne Place, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Los Angeles County Fire personnel and responding officers fought valiantly to claw life back into Terraza, but he was declared deceased at the scene.

The tragedy unfolded on November 21st, at approximately 7:24 a.m., according to the Pomona Police Department's initial release. Their major crimes unit took up the mantle of the investigation, which quickly led them to Guerrero. Arrested in Pomona, Guerrero has been booked at the Pomona City Jail.

The L.A. County District Attorney's Office has come forth with stern charges of 187(a) PC—murder against Guerrero.
