Redlands' historic Orange Street is set to welcome a new member to the neighborhood, The Three Stags, an authentic Irish pub, starting November 16. The family-run venture is located in a lovingly restored 1902 brick building that once housed the popular local eatery, Citrone. The Three Stags endeavors not only to provide locals with a cozy venue but also to preserve the rich and beloved history of its location according to the San Bernardino Sun.

Nick and Kerry Robinson, who share rich histories in both the Redlands and Ireland, are at the helm of this domestic Irish pub initiative. When Citrone relocated to a spacious area in March, the Robinsons seized the opportunity to realize their shared vision of an authentic Irish pub experience. They aim to distance themselves from the typically mundane "dive" bars and provide the community with high-quality food, drink, and entertainment.

The family pedigree of the Robinsons inspired the meaningful name of the pub, The Three Stags. It honors Nick's son, Jack, who works as the bartender, and pays tribute to Paul, Nick's late brother, who had an enduring dream to open an Irish pub, as well as another of Jack's siblings who tragically passed away on the day the lease was signed, the San Bernardino Sun reports. Therefore, the establishment represents a cherished family dream and a heartfelt tribute to Paul.

Once the pub opens, patrons will observe the dramatic conversion of the former Citrone space into an immersive pub environment. The Robinsons moved the bar into the dining area, enclosed a previously open concept kitchen, and designed partitioned booths called "snugs" for private seating. The brick walls are adorned with black-and-white imagery and portraits capturing glimpses into Irish culture. These pictures taken by Nick Robinson himself, alongside tributes to literary legends such as Oscar Wilde and William Butler Yeats, provide a wholesome Irish experience as noted by the San Bernardino Sun.

In a recent Facebook post, The Three Stags expressed their deep gratitude to the Redlands community for their resolute support during the pub's establishment process. The owners are not only looking forward to the grand opening but also to the opportunity to bridge an enduring connection with the local community at their pub. They also acknowledge the significant role of the diligent staff, who are committed to serving high-quality food and drink and maintaining the mood of an Irish guesthouse.

The Three Stags emerges from a rich infusion of personal history and local heritage with a commitment to offer a bona fide Irish pub experience. Redlands awaits the unveiling of this meticulously nurtured project designed to offer its residents a unique place to gather. Céad míle fáilte!
