The Riverside County Board of Supervisors announced its support for Small Business Saturday, a nationwide initiative promoting local businesses. In a proclamation yesterday, the board emphasized the importance of these businesses to the local economy and affirmed the community's commitment to nurturing them as per The County of Riverside.

Two local business representatives, Cesar Jimenez of Jimenez Mexican Foods and Eastbrew Café's owners, Leticia and Oscar Davila, joined the proclamation celebration. During the event, Suzanne Holland, Director for the Riverside County Office of Economic Development, highlighted the board's sustained support for the county's roughly 77,000 small businesses, which comprise an impressive 96.4% of economic entities in the county, and contribute significantly to the economy and the quality of residents' lives.

Small Business Saturday, which is going to take place on November 25, presents a golden opportunity for community members to understand the broad spectrum of businesses in Riverside County, experience new local businesses, and stimulate economic growth. Third District Supervisor Chuck Washington emphasized the significance of the day, stating, "Small Business Saturday is more than just a day of transactions; it's a celebration of dreams, hard work, and aspirations."

The County of Riverside is also encouraging residents to share their Small Business Saturday experiences using the hashtag #ShopRiversideCounty on social media platforms. Their objective is to amplify the reach and influence of the initiative, promote the continual growth of local small businesses, and contribute to the prosperity of the county.
