With a rising global interest in environmental sustainability, the importance of expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure is paramount. In San Bernardino County, the recent unveiling of two EV charging stations at Ayala Park, Bloomington, confirmed the county's dedication to promoting sustainable infrastructure and reducing vehicle emissions, as reported by San Bernardino County.

The Board of Supervisors Chair and Third District Supervisor, Dawn Rowe, have backed these initiatives, which originated from Countywide Vision, a long-term strategic plan aimed at tackling sustainable infrastructure. Rowe stated, "This growth, it reflects our commitment to a more sustainable economy and we are glad to have added two new charging stations that will help us enhance sustainable infrastructure and reduce vehicle emissions."

San Bernardino County has in place five dual-head, level 2 charging stations, strategically situated at the San Bernardino County Government Center on Third Street and Mountain View Avenue. The locations cater to the growing trend of electric vehicles in the county.

Acknowledging the crucial role the Board of Supervisors has played in this initiative, Public Works Director Brendon Biggs complemented their support. Biggs emphasized the county's focus on acquiring technological advancements that can deliver greener transportation solutions according to the San Bernardino County.

ChargePoint, Inc., the world's largest EV charging network, will manage the newly installed charging stations. For more details about San Bernardino County’s sustainable infrastructure plans, visit https://cao-vision.sbcounty.gov.
