A recent operation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies, achieved notable results in combating crime. The operation, dubbed Operation Consequences, ran from October 28 to November 3 and focused on known gang members and those without firearm ownership privileges as reported by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department.
With the combined efforts of multiple departments and a number of state and federal agencies, the operation resulted in 29 felony arrests. Simultaneously, 66 firearms were confiscated, including 10 untraceable "ghost guns".
The operation spanned various San Bernardino County locations, such as Apple Valley, Covina, and Chino Hills, among others. The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors authorized funds specifically for crime suppression, which were utilized for Operation Consequences.
Increased funding to the Sheriff's Department for this operation, to curb violent crime, dismantle targeted criminal street gangs, and apprehend criminals involved in illegal firearm activities, is expected to lead to improved community living conditions. Over the forthcoming months, Operation Consequences will continue with the County Board's support.
