Ernesto Manzo, a San Jacinto resident, was arrested following a dangerous chase with the Chino Hills Police Department yesterday. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reported that the pursuit began when Manzo was observed violating California Vehicle Code regulations. Despite officers' attempts to conduct a traffic stop, the situation escalated when Manzo failed to comply.
During the chase, Manzo drove directly toward a deputy's vehicle, obliging the officer to take evasive actions. The pursuit was eventually called off to ensure public safety. The decision to cease the chase actualizes the officers' commitment to preserving the safety within the Chino Hills community.
Although Manzo evaded initial capture, the diligent efforts by the Chino Hills Police Department led to his eventual identification and, an arrest warrant was issued for him. Charges include assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and felony evading. Remarkably, Manzo has also been linked to a separate hit-and-run incident in Anaheim on November 1. This incident concluded with his arrest by the Anaheim Police Department for public intoxication, as found in the case details.
